Natural frequencies, achieving understanding and using frequency to your advantage
Can you detect frequency? Do you know where your frequency fits best? What element works best for you? Perhaps this can help
Frequency is energetic vibration. We are vibrating, as is the world around us. Sometimes, we are on the same frequency, and we "resonate" (a word we use informally that is actually deeply descriptive). In other words, we "vibe." Alternatively, we may be on different frequencies and have great challenges in interacting. Or something may be on the wrong frequency and behaving sub-optimally. It can be felt at times when you walk into a room, and things just feel “off” or wrong somehow.
These vibrational wavelengths are the determining factors that dictate how we perceive and interact with the natural world around us. This is where magic meets physics! Detecting frequency and what frequencies each object or living entity is--or should be!--vibrating at is fundamental to the development of the magical individual. Understanding frequency helps the magician manipulate and match the different elemental frequencies around them. Rub your hands together vigorously for a minute or two and then hold them a little ways apart from each other. You can feel the energy built up between them in the negative space. You feel the frequency of the energy you just produced, running from one hand to the next.
Working with natural frequencies can be tricky. Energy can shift subtly, taking experience and focus to detect and pick up on. Frequencies are the vibrational wavelengths through which energy operates. Putting frequency on a spectrum from high to low makes energy easier to categorize, separate, and measure. It also helps to provide a more straightforward mental image on which to focus.
Everything exists on this spectrum. All naturally occurring things in our world have a unique frequency. People are not the only things with energetic signatures. Energy work operates on the accepted truth; we can alter our frequency to match our intention or object of focus. This is an integral part of the foundation of belief. If you don’t believe you can tap into, harness, and manipulate frequency, you will never go any further with energy work. Referring back to the frequency spectrum, everything vibrates at either high or low frequency. Light, for example, vibrates at an extremely high frequency. Visible but untouchable. Water, by contrast, exists at a much lower frequency. Soil and plants vibrate at a lower frequency than water. Fire is more closely related to light. Vibrating on a higher frequency than water and soil but lower than light.
To understand your frequency better, you must analyze your past success. Which spells felt more potent while you were casting them? Which element or elements had more emphasis in those workings? This process is more straightforward if you log all your workings. Take note of your observations, inspirations, sensations, and feelings of connection and flow while performing the workings themselves. Your logs will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. Not everything always works, and knowing where to improve is the only way to grow.
Identifying the elements you have natural talent with tells you where your frequency sits on the spectrum. If your logs suggest that your previous workings with fire felt more powerful and successful, then your energy vibrates at a similar frequency to that of fire, making fire the element you resonate with best or most easily. This is true of any element you seem to have a natural talent or instinct when performing energy work. I think it is important to mention that the element you have the most success with in energy work will not always be the same natural element your astrology sign is associated with. Do not rely on the lists or any astrology to give you these answers. Look within yourself and at your unique experiences. Your intuition knows you best. Listen to it.
Your logs will also help you identify your failures. This tells you where you need to work on improvement. The more difficult elements for you to tap into and manipulate in energy work are areas in your magical journey that need improvement. Being able to categorize your skills in this fashion helps you create a systematic way to practice and improve your abilities. Having a better understanding of the nature of your energy makes energy work easier. Logs help you break it down into smaller pieces that are easier to internalize and firmly cement within you. You can seek out the frequencies you complement with more skill and wisdom while knowing which ones you contradict.
That is the basis of energy and frequency. Frequencies either complement or contradict each other. I suggest working with each element independently. Log each working and identify what worked and what did not. Once you have that data, start creating practice exercises that help boost your strengths and improve your weaknesses. For example, if you are better with earth energies, do your practice work next to a stream or pond. See if you can start to feel both frequencies. Once you can, it is time to start building on workings and spells that utilize both. Use this process to slowly build up and add to your experience and instinctual wisdom. This can be used regardless of which element you align with best. While that is the starting point, growth is essential, and you should always work toward incorporating all four elements into your practice and skill range.
Herbs, crystals, and magical tools have one or more of the elemental frequencies associated with them. When you know which frequencies your energy resonates with best, you can choose the tools, herbs, and crystals that align best with you. This will help you amplify the power of your sacred space. When frequencies resonate, balance and harmony are more easily maintained.
Balancing your sacred space more accurately helps synchronize and focus your energy, aligning you with your unique frequency's positive attributes and making every work you perform more cohesive and fluid. Energetic resonance is essential but doesn’t always happen naturally within your sacred space. Sometimes, it takes a lot of work. That is part of the beautiful process of the journey. You learn to understand yourself, where you shine in magic, and how to improve and grow.
